When Mariet & Sharon met in Greyton, where they both live, they immediately connected over shared aspects of their spiritual paths. This connection sparked a vision for Mizumizu, a jewellery brand rooted in something deeper - creations designed to reflect stories that resonate with the true self, the deeper self, the self beyond ego. Like water, these pieces flow from within, serving as an outward reflection of the essence we all share.

Each creation holds a story, a feeling, or even a poem that comes to life through a playful, flow-state design process. Our first range of rings was sculpted and shaped from wild clay foraged in Greyton. With Sharon’s goldsmithing expertise and Mariet’s eye for design, these rings transformed into exquisite, wearable art, preserving the raw, earthy texture of the original clay.

At Mizumizu, our commitment to excellence ensures that each piece of jewellery is not only a work of art but also a lasting heirloom. With meticulous attention to detail and the highest quality materials, we craft our pieces to stand the test of time.

“The world is like a vast ocean, and what you see is only a ripple on its surface. The moment you realise you are not your thoughts, you become aware of a deeper self, just as a ripple is part of the vast ocean.” Eckhart Tolle

What are Mariet & Sharon's backgrounds?

Sharon is a master goldsmith and the former owner of Scarab Jewellery, with decades of experience. Her expertise in traditional metalwork brings timelessness to each piece, while her eye for detail ensures that every Mizumizu creation is as resilient as it is beautiful. Sharon’s skill with metals is grounded in the techniques she’s studied, giving each piece a sense of legacy and artistry.

Mariet, the owner of Noemnoem Jewellery, comes from a background in design, with a love for nature-inspired, one-of-a-kind creations that highlight organic forms.
